Key Features
- Organize captured packets in a connection oriented view
- Capture IP packets on your LAN with nearly no packets losing.
- Smart real time analyzer enables on the fly content viewing while
capturing and analyzing.
- Parse and decode an variety of network protocol.
- Support saving captured packets for reopening afterward.
- Powerful filter provides a flexible mechanism to capture specific
packets.
- Syntax highlighting for application data in the format of HTML, HTTP
and XML.
Provides
XML / HTML / HTTP View...
Traditional sniffers or protocol analyzers just put everything
captured together without any further categorizing. However, no
matter we debug programs or analyze network traffic, we tend to
follow the same TCP connection or UDP thread. Obviously, a messy
view can't fit our requirements. So EtherDetect provides a connection
view besides a common packet view. Therefore, it displays correlative
packets together to enable users analyze more deep information through
packets. EtherDetect gives you an ideal opportunity to capture full
TCP connections and UDP threads, which is essential for diagnosing
programs, locating network problems, diving into network protocol,
and extract application data from an variety of packets.

Provides
Hex View with protocol navigation tools...
EtherDetect provides a colorful data view. You can easily grasp data
inside captured packets. |

Powerful
filter enables capturing specifically...
Its powerful filter mechanism enables you setup default packet
accpetance policy and customized packet capturing filters. Each
packet will pass through every filter. If a packet is matched and
explicitly accepted or dropped by a filter, other filters will not
apply on the same packet any more. The default accpetance policy
will apply if none of filters matching. Thus, neither will you lose
anything you are interested, nor will some irrelevant packets disturb
you. You could focus on the problem directly and exclusively.

Who need it?
EtherDetect is a helpful tool for company manager, web page designers,
concerned parents, LAN administrators, security professionals, C++/Java/ASP/JSP/PHP/SOAP
programmers, or anyone who are interested in network traffic going through
his PC or the whole LAN. Reasons to use EtherDetect are numerous.
C++/Java/ASP/JSP/PHP/SOAP
Programmer
When you develop a network program, you may need to exactly know what
it has sent and received. EtherDetect provides you a way to know everything
on data transmitted through network. It could save every packet sent by
your program automatically, and organize them with a connection view.
Then you can follow the most concerned packets together. This enables
you debug your programs easily, and accelerates your developing substantially.
Network Administrator
You can use EtherDetect as a network traffic logger, and monitor traffic
on your network. You may also use it as a Network Intrusion Detection
System to discovery hacker attacking through suspicious traffic.
Private User
or student
As a concerned parent, it is important to know what your kids are doing
online. You may also need to detect whether your privacy is sending out
by some "Adware" or "Spyware". If you are a student,
you can find out how your network is working and know the mechanism of
each network protocol, such as stmp, pop3, and http, through our EtherDetect.
